The design presents guilt as a six‑part cognitive map radiating from the central concept of Self‑Understanding.
Each guilt type -- Action-based, Omission-based, Relational, Internal, Conditioned/Identity, and Identity-based -- is color-coded and connected by arrows in a circular flow, symbolizing how awareness transforms guilt into growth.

The golden banner at the bottom, “Path to Healing & Growth,” completes the framework with optimism and direction.

SUPRA GUILT FRAMEWORK
Over the past several decades, I have been studying how guilt manifests in everyday psychological life.
What began as scattered observations gradually revealed a larger pattern:
Guilt is not a single experience, but a collection of recurring psychological structures.
To the best of my knowledge, I have not encountered a comprehensive, practical
classification of guilt experiences organized into a self-guided framework.
Existing literature often discusses specific forms of guilt individually.
My attempt was to organize a wide range of guilt experiences into a coherent, practical framework usable for self-reflection and intervention.
This led me to identify and organize 44 recurring manifestations of guilt, later grouped into six broader patterns:
1. ACTION-BASED GUILT – (“I did something wrong”) –
13 Types
2. INACTION / RESPONSIBILITY GUILT – (“I didn’t do what I should have”) – 7 Types
3. RELATIONAL GUILT – (“I affected someone emotionally or socially”) – 6 Types
4. INTERNAL / THOUGHT-BASED GUILT – (“Something inside me feels wrong”) – 8 Types
5. CONDITIONED / PAST-INFLUENCED GUILT – (“This comes from my past or conditioning”) – 6 Types
6. COMPLEX / IDENTITY-BASED GUILT – (“I feel
wrong as a person or in my identity”) – 4 Types
I now refer to this as the "Supra Guilt Framework", a practical model designed not merely for theory but for
- understanding,
- self-reflection, and
- psychological intervention.
