SUPRA does not guarantee a particular level of income.

The SUPRA model is designed to allow the Stress Manager to earn from the services they provide, subject to the applicable SUPRA terms and any legal, tax or other requirements that apply to their practice.
14. Can I use SUPRA without becoming certified?
No.
The SUPRA Stress Busters™ methodology, tools, workstations and associated materials are intended to be used by individuals who have been appropriately trained and authorized.
Certification provides the foundation for using the SUPRA system as a Certified SUPRA Stress Manager™.
15. Can I call myself a Psychologist after becoming a Certified SUPRA Stress Manager™?
No.
SUPRA Stress Manager™ certification does not make you a psychologist, psychiatrist, counsellor, psychotherapist or medical practitioner.
You must use only professional titles and descriptions for which you are separately qualified and legally entitled.
16. Can a Certified SUPRA Stress Manager diagnose mental-health disorders?
No.
A SUPRA Stress Manager is not authorized by this certification to diagnose psychiatric or psychological disorders unless they possess a separate qualification and authorization that permits them to do so.
The SUPRA Stress Busters™ system is designed for stress education, stress prevention, stress management and structured stress-related self-reflection.
Where an individual's needs appear to require clinical assessment or treatment, appropriate referral to a qualified professional is essential.
17. Can a Certified SUPRA Stress Manager replace a psychiatrist, psychologist or therapist?
No.
SUPRA Stress Busters™ is not intended to replace psychiatric treatment, psychological assessment, psychotherapy, counselling, medication or emergency mental-health care.
It is a structured stress-focused system that can be used within its defined scope.
18. Can I work with people who have mental-health problems?
SUPRA Stress Managers must work within the scope of their training and certification.
People receiving psychiatric or psychological treatment should continue with their qualified healthcare professionals.
Where appropriate, SUPRA may be used as a complementary stress-focused activity, but the Stress Manager must not interfere with or replace the person's clinical treatment.
19. What happens if I encounter someone who needs professional help?
A responsible Stress Manager should recognize when a situation goes beyond the scope of SUPRA.
The individual should then be encouraged or referred to an appropriately qualified professional or service.
Knowing when to refer is an important part of being a responsible SUPRA Stress Manager™.
20. Can I administer SUPRA to family members and friends?
You may introduce people to SUPRA, but professional boundaries should always be considered.
For formal services, it is preferable to maintain appropriate boundaries, confidentiality and documentation rather than allowing personal relationships to interfere with the process.
21. Can I work online?
SUPRA may be adaptable to online delivery where the particular tool and circumstances are suitable.
However, the Stress Manager remains responsible for ensuring appropriate privacy, communication, documentation and professional boundaries.
Certain situations may require face-to-face or professional clinical intervention.
22. Will I receive SUPRA materials after certification?
Certified Stress Managers will receive access to the SUPRA materials and tools specified under the certification program.
The exact materials provided may evolve as the SUPRA system develops.
23. Will I receive new SUPRA tools in the future?
SUPRA is a developing system.
As new audits, workstations, worksheets, and other tools are developed and validated, access may be made available to certified Stress Managers according to the applicable certification and renewal terms.
24. Is certification valid permanently?
Certification will be subject to the terms applicable at the time of certification.
Where annual renewal or continuing certification is required, Stress Managers may need to complete the prescribed renewal process.
This helps ensure that certified Stress Managers remain familiar with the current SUPRA methodology and tools.
